I downloud this app now and I dont have account. how can I create a account?
Downloaded the app. Get sign in page BUT nothing else. Of course I can’t sign in because I don’t have an account. Nothing is available to get out of that window or to close the application

Of the potential guests all of them backed out. Too darn expensive on the TripAdvisor end. If I add enough to offset TripAdvisor costs, I out-price my rooms. If I don’t then I can’t get a fair rate so I can make enough to come out ahead.

THIS UPDATE IS STILL TRASH!!! Why can’t you all make an app like the AirBnB or VRBO owners apps where I can manage my business if need be from inside of the app!!! They are so far and away ahead of this it’s laughably sad and frustrating!!! SMH!!!

I’m a long-time superhost on Airbnb. I downloaded the trip advisor app to reach a different market and increase my booking for dead months (usually 97-100% booked on Airbnb during normal months). Big mistake. There is no review system for the guests who book with me on TripAdvisor’s platform, so I don’t know if they were good guests in the past. As a matter of fact, I don’t even see any info of the guy until I send them an offer. Being new to the platform, I made an offer thinking I’ll see the information afterwards. They took my offer, and I was immediately bound to the booking, still with no idea who is coming into my house. I live in the house and rent out two private rooms. Not being able to see who’s coming into my primary residence makes me worried about my personal safety. When I called customer service to cancel the booking, the agent was very impatient with me and told me there would be a $150 charge for cancellation, 3x what Airbnb charges.
Spoke to the manager, and she says she will give them a call to verify their identity. That’s only a temporary fix and I would have to do that for every request I get with them if I were to continue hosting. They kept saying they don’t want to cancel my reservation and it seemed to me they were more worried about the money than about making me feel safe as a host. Overall, my experience hosting on TripAdvisor is horrible and I would never use them again until they come up with a better solution for this issue.

I rent two apartments and a house on Airbnb and Homeaway and thought that adding another platform would be a no brainer… Boy was I wrong. I have not had one positive rental experience from TripAdvisor in over 2 years. From over-needy guests, to scammers attempting to book last minute, horrible customer service, exorbitant fees and add-ons, and the list could go on and on. Please don’t waste your time like I did with this platform. I’m sure they will be out of business soon enough.

Tried to load new photos on 3 different devices. Message said it was compatible, try another device,all times. Impossible to navigate site. INCOMPATIBLE with many SMS and makes you go to inbox on site. Will not allow certain communication with guest until they pay ENTIRE fee, even after paying deposit. If a guest asks specifics of neighborhood, How transportation goes,your last name etc or ANYTHING A guest might need to know for planning their trip or safety/ accessibility concerns, site deletes your message and guest thinks you did not bother to answer them.

I have my property listed with Trip Advisor but when I try to enter and respond to an enquiry it is impossible to find it in my inbox. It seems there are two conflicting apps - one with my listing and the other saying not completed. Either one is virtually impossible to manage.

Cannot upload photos from the app. So irritating. Makes me not want to have my listing with this company if they can’t get their technology correct. Airbnb and VRBO are the way to go.

The app concept is good, but very limited on execution. I cannot upload photos of our units........I certainly can upload multiple photos in the VRBO and Airbnb apps....Come on TA! Get with it

I’ve recently added TripAdvisor to my vacation rentals strategy and compared the the Airbnb app, it is disappointing. I cannot check anything because the login screen pops up and disappears before I can log in and doesn’t show me anything. You could learn a lot from Airbnb. I guess I will have to use my laptop to manage guests. Boo.
Please bring back the "gear" on the calendar page that let's me update/sync the calendars. It's too risky to wait for it to be done automatically. Doing it manually is time consuming.

Overall Ok but has some issues. Need to be able to archive inbox messages in app and not lose messages if you switch between app and other apps. You lose your work when you switch.

When try to use this app it straight goes to a section for travelers who are looking for a place to book. Do not give me any option to switch from traveler mode to vacation owner mode.

The app is terrible. As a host it seems impossible to respond to a booking inquiry without sending a quote and you get very little information about potential guests. As for app support.. good luck it is non-existent.

The app has worked flawless so far, no bugs or issues. Also it is the most functional amongst other owner apps like Airbnb and VRBO. You can edit the listing, adjust seasonal pricing, send quotes and complete the booking

When replying a customer, if your phone receive an alert the application will refresh your screen and all your message will be deleted!!!!

If you don't give users an option to sign up... You failed usability test #1. Though I assume all your regression tests start with logging in... Not actually signing up as a new user. All there is - is a user name and password field with a forgot password link and sign in button. Even if you enter in info that isn't recognized no subsequent option to sign up.
Call your QA manager ... Quickly.

This app is poorly designed and has obviusly been rushed through production. The User Interface is at best average but its the small bugs that get to you.
For instance when trying to change the status of a date in the calendar, pressing in it makes the app think you want to make a phone call.
Use Airbnb if you want a better app.

I love this app, haven't had any issues booking, getting messages and keeping up with calendars for my properties, have had a 30% increase in bookings due to the timely response rate I can give clients and I can make quick changes to my listings anytime I want...Really easy to use, really awesome job, don't change anything😊
