    I have a standard transfer that is going on 7 days and nobody can tell me why my money hasn’t been deposited into my bank account yet. All of my account information is correct in the Venmo app and my bank is telling me they haven’t received any efforts by Venmo to make this transaction complete….

    I’ve never needed other people to see to whom I send money. The social aspect of this app is pointless and frankly, violating. Now Venmo is desperate to make money, so they cluttered the app with self serving ads to upgrade to one more pointless service after another. Their attempts to capture revenue from small business is shameless. Worst of all, it takes more taps to send money now than it used to. … Off to Apple Pay. No need for Venmo. You were first. But now the real players have entered they market and you aren’t relevant.

    There were two contacts with almost the same name and I accidentally selected the inactive one that wasn’t the correct account. I immediately reached out to the incorrect contact requesting for my funds to be returned, this was before I realized this person is inactive. I went through the process of requesting assistance from Venmo and have yet to hear back from anyone. There has been zero communication. I have to reach out to my bank for assistance since they still believe in customer service and have representatives readily available to assist with any and all requests.

    I would give it five stars but customer service doesn’t give the reason why account is deactivated. I want to keep using their service because some of my family use vemno all the times….. I would like my account to be reactivate so I can use the service. Shame on them. How can I supposed to know my actions and activity violations the agreements.

    Glitch with account linked and it’s taking days to fix it. They also use dark patterns to try to trick you into clicking the protection racket service that subtracts some of your payment. Why be sneaky? Believe in your service or don’t. Bad customer experience.

However, be mindful to make sure your payment is not a service or it will place a fee on the recipient and place a 1 month hold on the amount! It is a user friendly application which work with different platforms including google,iPhone, and Android!!

    Do not use this app, If you ever need good customer support you will get the exact opposite. I sold products to a scammer who disputed his transactions after paying me. I provided all proof/documentation that the disputes was part of a scam, and that the sender intentionally made the payments for services. However, Venmo still sided with the scammer and froze my account until I return the payments.

    This company could be good. But it’s not. You can’t ever get ahold of someone on the phone. Not to mention they withhold money from you that you have earned to pay your bills. The fact that they are going to try to tax the already taxed money that goes into you account is disgusting. How do you know if it’s earned money or if it’s money that a family member is sending to help pay for something.

    My partner received a usd5 welcome bonus and I didn’t. He then transferred usd5 to me, I received them, I tried to send it to him back, and these were removed from my account but he didn’t receive the money (even though I had selected the option “instant transfer”). We both tried everything with his and my account: in his’, everything functioned, in mine nothing. I ended up unsubscribing.

    I’ve been trying to make a payment to a small business for days now. Originally tried using the website—a total bust. Then switched to the App. Though this worked at first, I had to split the payment into 3 parts because of some unknown daily maximum that isn’t described anywhere. Third payment, which is well below the maximum, simply won’t go through. Says “Your payment was declined. Try again later.” I have confirmed that the money is available in the source account. Switching to Zelle. Will uninstall VENMO shortly. Given the small niche this App is trying to fill, I am shocked that it is this cumbersome to use. How are you still in business?

    I have been using Venmo for some time now and it was always a very simple app to send and receive money. About six months ago out of the blue I was just sending my friend money, she was standing next to me, and then it said error. I attempted again and again yet was unable to send her $45. I contacted chase bank, there was no issue on my bank side of things. I contacted Venmo and they continuously said no issues on Venmo‘s side. after many hours in many days of trying to resolve my Venmo issue it was later discovered that there is an engineering problem on the Venmo side and the representatives have assured me they would be finding a resolution which has happened on many accounts. some representatives ignorantly told me I need to close my bank account with Chase and open a new one. I have had my bank account with Chase for over 30 years yet I was advised to close my bank account because of Venmo. No issues with PayPal, no issues with Zelle, just Venmo out of nowhere. finally I had a representative who was able to somewhat resolve the issue however I got used to no longer using Venmo so I don’t use it now as much. tonight I needed to simply pay the valet eight dollars. When I scanned his QR code everything seemed fine until I received an error message. I made several attempts trying to pay him with my same Chase bank accounts yet I received the same error message. I finally was successful, I think, and sending a few dollars using the debit card part of my Chase bank account. I have lost faith in Venmo and only try to use it as a last resort, I no longer can confidently use Venmo. If there is a way to reset my whole Venmo account in hopes that I will no longer have any issues I would be glad to do so otherwise I just don’t have the same desire or confidence to use this app for banking. to this day we never really could understand how I just randomly no longer have been able to use Venmo at the same comfort as I used to.
