Great workouts but time consuming 4/5
I love the sets but I’d like to see them notified for time. Let’s see if you can get the most bang in the shortest amount of time. When I add my 10 min commute to the gym, warmup and full program I’m losing almost 2 hours out of a busy schedule.
Helps me stay focused! 5/5
I’ve tried multiple apps, this is simple and yet it’s the only one that has helped me stay focused for specific workouts towards my sport. As an ex Personal Trainer I have an understanding of the this design and how it will help me. Keeps me on track.
Great App, Great Customer Service 5/5
The app itself is simple and adaptive to your schedule and progression. Videos easy to follow, and the variety if alternate moves is great, especially if you’re low on equipment or if the gym is busy. Have been using the month by month subscription for the past year, but someone from the app contacted me today to remind me that the annual subscription is $50 less expensive than continuing on the monthly plan for another year. She totally did this out of the blue which impressed me! So thoughtful
Awesome App 5/5
Awesome workout app for athletes of all level!
doesnt have my sport :/ 1/5
The list of sports does not include equitation... Please include the “less popular/known” sports bc equestians, gymnasts, dancers, etc need a workout routine too
I’m a fan 5/5
This is a cool app. Fundamental exercises, many of which can be done in a garage gym.
Worked out for years without really seeing results because I never tracked my progress. I play college baseball and football and got injured and used volt to come back stronger than ever. Best investment I’ve ever made, seriously. If you’re thinking about purchasing, do. It’ll be the best decision you’ve ever made regarding your fitness
Great App, just one minor suggestion.. 5/5
By COOL KID1997
I have been using this app since my college athletics program introduced it to our team. Now, two years after graduating I am still using it every day because it is a great tool for staying motivated and have productive workouts.
The only suggestion I have would be to add some sort of optional alert tone that could be turned on to indicated the end of each rest period. This way you wouldn’t have to constantly look at the phone to see how much rest time is remaining.
Other than that, it is awesome! I am looking forward to using it many more years and can’t wait to see what other new features the Volt team decides to introduce!
Exactly What I Hoped For 5/5
By Jack Heruth
I have lifted a good amount for about 10 years. Sometimes with set programs in high school, and on my own since. It is great having a program again and not having to carry around paper and pencil is nice. Super easy to use too. Full disclosure, I hadn’t lifted for about a year when I started Volt and lost some strength. I wanted to make sure my form was right and didn’t want to over-exert/injure myself right away so I started really low with every weight. It automatically has gotten me back to the point I was at in high school in less than 2 months, without feeling like “too much”. For me, the best features are: mobile, automatic difficulty adjustments, video and written instructions for each exercise, and the ability to replace lifts (in case you don’t have the equipment or are rehabbing). I also just found out they have a yearly plan that is cheaper. Would recommend to anyone looking for inspiration or who is plateauing.
Great app 5/5
By Volt Lover
Best app ever. Completely worth money
Awesome workouts! 5/5
I used to dread strength training. I would be happy to just run and run. I knew strength training was important but just had a hard time bringing myself to do it and I was unsure of exercises. This app has changed it! I love the exercises and I love the feedback it gives me. I actually look forward to my strength days.
Apple Watch 4/5
By Why not 000
This is an awesome app. I use it for the golf and all around athlete routines. I just wish there was a volt app for the Apple Watch.
Highly Recommend! 5/5
Volt has been a fantastic tool to help me get back on track after several months of not working out post-collegiate athlete life. With its various workout plans and the freedom of swapping in and out certain exercises for an optimal workout, it has been a breeze getting back in shape! I can’t wait to see what goals I can crush using Volt powered by Gatorade!
Off season 5/5
This app will totally help in the off-season. Or if you don’t have a strong workout program, use this.

How can I increase the workout days? I want to be able to get a program for 5 or at least 4 days a week
Great app 4/5
Pls fix the decimal point glitch. Whenever you want to add .5 pounds it doesn’t register that you type “.”
Other than that, I’m enjoying the app. Wish it didn’t cost $10 per month tho
Rest timer 4/5
Hi love the app so far
But how do I get the rest timer to sound off while I’m working out and playing my music
It would be great if it just rang and prompted me to do the next exercise
How do I even start this? 1/5
Ok so I started my free trial 7 days ago yet every time I clicked view my program it would just tell me I’m already subscribed to this and that I would start being charged on January 10th but I thought maybe it would start after I was charged. But no dice I still get hit with the same stupid message. If someone knows what’s going on or if a developer could activate my account that would be cool.
Dope app 5/5
I havent worked out in a little while. And i have trouble working out with an actual person. So this really helps with getting back on track and also helps the more introverted fitness peeps.
Best Fitness App 5/5
I’m a big fan of Volt after using for 4 months. The lifts are structured in a logical way and the workouts compliment each other well. I really like the gifs showing the exercises as well as the coaching tips. The app also includes helpful warmups and conditioning drills. Definitely the best fitness app I’ve used.
Four stars but want it to be five stars 4/5
I really love this program. For $10, it’s great that you can get a program that calculates your weights and offers tons of replacement movements. I really appreciate how it takes into account mood, soreness, etc. My only critique is that I wish it offered four or five day workout options. I also wish it had more dynamic stretching options so I could use that on my stretch/rest days.
Game changer 5/5
Volt is an easy app to understand and use, yet at the same time has a depth of knowledge that I have yet to find in any other app.
This is the future! 5/5
By Dkdkwixjndjdjcivoptkdhsn j
This is the future for how many aspects of our life will be. Volt should also add/make a Cortex powered meal planner. I’ve always struggled with figuring out a well rounded workout plan. Volt does all the thinking for you. This makes working out so much easier since all you have to do is show up to the gym and do the exercises. I gained 10 pounds of muscle the first month I tried Volt. Really impressed with the app. I’m stronger now than I have ever been. And I am more balanced in my strength than I have ever been. When you plan a workout plan on your own it is all too easy to become too focused on a particular muscle group. Volt takes all the guesswork out of workout planning. Fantastic!
Why $9.99 4/5
This may be one of the better workout apps that I’ve used but with other apps like ESPN and Spotify being in the same price range but offering MUCH more content, I wonder if there is a way to lower the price?
I love it! 5/5
Great app explains workouts well and worth the cost
5 stars from a trainer 5/5
By Bitchy kitty
I love this app, I do personal training for work, but I over think my own programming this app is great it adapts to you and challenges you each phase. Down side is the charge but it’s worth it if you do your workouts.
Doesn’t have my sport 1/5
I was excited to use this app and help my training with it, but as I was signing up I realized my sport (gymnastics) wasn’t listed.
Where is the workout info? 3/5
I just downloaded the volt app and started the free trial. I cannot find the tabs with the daily workouts now? Does it take a day to load workout info? No instructions were given.
Everything seems good and I really want to use the app but it seems to not work after I put in my info i push the button for the trial and nothing happens
Amazing! 100% Recommend 5/5
This app is so good! And totally worth it! It has helped me become more confident in the gym! Recommend this to anyone looking for a great app to help them improve their workouts! ❤️
One wish.... 4/5
By rayyyyy rayyyyyy
Let me start by saying I love this app! I’ve been working out consistently for years but there are times when you get into a rut and just don’t feel like planning your own workouts. Volt takes the guesswork out of planning my workouts and makes me feel like I’m working towards something. The only this I wish the app had was an option to choose how many days you are working out (3/4/5) I don’t mind supplementing the program with other workouts but it would be nice if there was at least 4 days of programming as opposed to 3.
To easy 2/5
This app has good workouts for mobility but I specifically did not pick that when setting up my account but all my workouts are way too easy and are very easy not challenging my body the way I would like it to.
Like most workout apps out there.. this app is lacking nutrition guidance and the ability to tailor nutrition plans based on current goals. Unless I’m just missing something here. Everything else is great.
Sport Selection 👎🏾 2/5
By Maya Makail
All those sports y’all have and no gymnastics. Like, I was looking through seeing sports like “Alpine Skiing” and no gymnastics. An extremely popular sport across all countries and one of the most watched female and Olympic sports. That’s crazy and ridiculous.
Not good 1/5
I signed up for the free trial, and I can’t get past the start trial screen because it says I already purchased it. This doesn’t make sense.
Excellent programming! 5/5
I’ve done strictly CrossFit for several years and wanted some programming to increase strength between CrossFit workouts. This app provides excellent functional movements which definitely help with typical CrossFit movements. The algorithm is also great at picking weights and progressing upwards as needed based on your rating of how difficult the set was. Even within the workout!
Would be better if it was free 3/5
I like to run in high school especially track but I don’t have the money to pay 10.00 a month I know you won’t change cause of 1 review but just needed to state it
All around app 1/5
This world these days is full of overweight people who need to work out, and people who want to workout. I don’t believe downloading a free app to pay 10$ to get a workout every month is worth it. Definitely do not recommend this, just keep looking! 😖👍
Ever fitness need in an app. 5/5
By Doctor Win
I love everything about this app. It scales properly to how difficult the weight feels for me. It keeps a history of the reps and weight I have done for each exercise. This has saved me so much time in not having to write my own work outs and has me coming home feeling well worked. Everything I used to do with pen and paper has been digitized into this app. Again, I love everything about it.
Best work out app I’ve ever had! Tells you everything you need for a mindless work out!!!!

What can I do?
Pretty Crazy 5/5
Pretty identical to my college football workouts. It gives you a plan that actually builds mass and strength based on whatever sport you want (mine’s football). It doesn’t throw you in with high weights either it keeps track of how hard each SET of each workout is for you. 10/10 recommend.
Kind of disappointed :( NO GYMNASTICS OPTION 1/5
i got this app because i saw an ad for it and it attracted me to it because you could put in your sport and you would get personal results unlike some other apps. However, it was surprising that you had to pay a subscription AND even in my free trial description, i was a little disappointed to see that GYMNASTICS was not an option for sports. this upset me because im a varsity gymnast and i would appreciate it of i could have someone good workouts that help me get stronger for gymnastics, but i obviously cant use this app:((((
Good app but.... 3/5
I've tried this app for 2 weeks already and this app has been put together very well. However, for me it takes over an hour to finish the suggested work out of the day. And that's including that I don't make use of the suggested rest periods, meaning I rarely rest. Using this app at the gym can also be a little tricky. It suggests any given exercise, but keeps changing the weight depending on how you respond to the previous set. That means you find yourself switching weights a lot, and that makes you loose time, assuming someone else is not using the suggested weight. Another thing is that in any given exercise, if the app increases the weight for the next set it does so in 5 lbs increments total. Example: Exercise X with dumbells, total weight for set 1 is 50 lbs, next set would be 55 lbs. I have yet to find a dumbbell weighing 27.5 lbs.
Impressed! Thank you! 5/5
Tried this new app out last night and tonight and I have to say after I entered my height weight and current strength levels it put together a pretty comprehensive program with a high level of training intelligence for my fitness/athletic goal. The app works well while you workout, tracking your sets and rest times and pushing you through your workout with accountability. I am impressed and thankful for this app because it not only streamlined my workouts but it records, plans, and holds me accountable on not only my program and goal, but also with keeping my rest times short and timed within the app to keep me disciplined which will = greater success. Five out of 🤚🏽 fasho!
Needs position for hockey 5/5
Great app but one minor issue is that they only generalize hockey as one thing where it should be player and goalie so we or I can get one specific to me not the general hockey population using the app
Missing sport(s) 2/5
This app is great, it includes many sports such as dance/cheer(some may argue about these being counted as sports). But gymnastics, which is a popular sport among girls and boys, is not included.
Would be nice to let the person who downloads this app that you have to pay a fee to use it before you put a bunch of your personal information in their app! I highly recommend not using this app. What a rip-off!
Awesome app. Needs watchOS! 5/5
Great app. Wish they had a watchOS app. Would make it a lot easier to log sets and reps without grabbing the phone every time.
