Not reliable at all 1/5
Works about half the time. Stations not even showing up on the map today. Junk.
Please fix !!!!!! 1/5
By corinne iphone 7
Hi low temps and time are wrong every day. How can we teach our kids if data is wrong.
Eye candy over substance 2/5
I agree with other users who are faulting Davis for prioritizing a certain look to the app over ease of use, display of data, graph access, etc. Please, Davis. Hear our plea.
Go back to the old app please 1/5
The old app was great. This one is a pain!!
Hi low temp time does not work 2/5
Need to fix the hi low time. It always says low temp of 12:01am and hi at 12:33am
WeatherLink 2.0 app 2/5
Started out great, then lost all graphs. Uninstalled and installed back. Still no graphs. Everything else is working fine.
Works great 5/5
Local sheriffs office has a station, love getting weather report from right down the road. The app seems just fine to me, layout is direct and I have no problem finding the information I need.
Kill all the fancy BS on the landing page 2/5
It works, but the fancy graphics on the landing page is just annoying BS. Please just allow me to get to my weather station data and remove the frills. The old app was much better.
By Fire Chief 400
Bring back the Internet version so we can share our information without logins
Please go back to ver. 1 1/5
I’m a longtime user of Davis hardware but this app is frustrating. Please go back to the data displayed by version 1. Please.
So many things wrong with this app. Customer service non responsive. Bring back the old app.
If I could give 0 stars I would! You can hardly read the information on the front page when it’s raining. The old app was easy to use, this app has too much crap! People bought Davis Stations because of that app and the ease to get their data. You ruined it!
Does nothing without registration 1/5
This app requires registration before it will do anything. So it’s basically an email address collector.
Wind gust 3/5
Fix the wind gust reading in your app. Way to high.
Don’t forget the iPad owners 3/5
By Whittier Weather Service
A simple landscape mode would be nice to add to what other reviewers/owners have requested.
Update: I like the new update with temp/wind charts but still need to see a landscape mode for iPad and iPad Pro users.
Should be 0 stars 1/5
Decided to try Weatherlink, as Weather Underground has mad their app worthless. However, this app cannot find my station, even though it is a Vantage Pro, and is online!
Just poor. Very poor 1/5
Please give us back version 1.0 or make new simple, clearer and useable.
Looks promising 1/5
While this app looks promising, it hangs with a rotating progress indicator whenever you tab a station. Fix this and its a viable app.
Big Step Backwards from Previous Version 1/5
App no longer is built for meteorologists and hobbyist bit instead is a conglomeration or screens that are hard to read.
Weatherflow Smartweather is a better alternative
Not an improvement 1/5
Liked the first WeatherLink app better. Like to see the max wind gust time of day, new app doesn’t show the time of gust. That and other anomalies. Graphs would be a way forward to display info
Reset rating???? 1/5
Why did you reset ratings, most bad, instead of listening to what your long time people are saying. I have been using my WeatherLink station for almost 10 years to monitor my beach house. I also added one to my current home so I can see all my actual weather data (rain, wind and temperatures in and outside) at both locations. We don’t use this app for weather forecast. That was never its purpose. Every smart phone has the weather channel app on it for getting the weather forecast.
Maybe you could offer a “lite” version that was like the old WeatherLink 1 and still be able to keep your subscription customers on WeatherLink 2. Just a dream.
Indoor Temp on App 4/5
By ACMN User
Is there a way to get the indoor temp and humidity back on the app?
MM Guy 5/5
By MM Guy 42
Excellent app. Gives me the exact rainfall and wind speed and direction in whatever area I am planning on working in.
Works Well... Wish we could send suggestions! 3/5
App works well, but there are a couple of improvements I would like to suggest - problem is, I cannot find a way to contact the developer. The support link forwards to a set of FAQ’s, instead of providing an email address.
Not really an upgrade 1/5
By Graham - Waco TX
It may be a revamped and “upgraded” update, but the prior version was much more intuitive and useful. The juvenile graphics (rain, clouds, etc.) are very annoying, especially when you have multiple stations on your home page. PLEASE allow us to “downgrade” to the previous version, or at least give us the option of turning off juvenile graphics on the home page. PLEASE!!!
Get on it, New guys! 5/5
We love this app. We need more from you. You already have great app going. Don’t f” it up.
Real trash software. I’m replacing both of my stations. Morons.
No 2nd channel 2/5
By Curtains 4 U
I can not see the 2nd channel on the wl2 version like I could on version 1. Kinda of disappointing not having the side by side display of data as well.
Below Zero Readings 3/5
By Weather 2019
Software is good but has a issue with the low temperature reading. It will not show a - temperature reading in records section.
Can’t see what it looks like without an account 3/5
I bit the bullet and payed for access. I do like being able to see historical data.
I don’t think you should need an account to be able to see a sample, at least allow access to the Davis station.
There are some annoying bugs.
- after midnight, it won’t provide the time of the last update until sometime later? Perhaps a DST bug?
- I just tried to look at historical data for the prior day, and the low temp hasn’t updated at 20 minutes past midnight.
In general it is nice to have an app that seems resolution independent, however, it would be nice to have the option of a more concise view.
I would also like to see some graphs for historical data like findu.com provides.
Huge disappointment 1/5
I have a Vantage Vue weather station at my cabin. I use it to monitor the outside temp so I can control the inside temp. The new app is more concerned about providing the weather forecast for my current location. I have to jump through hoops every time I open the app to get the data from my weather station 100 miles away rather than all the weather stations in a 25 mi radius. It no longer provides the historical highs and lows for my station. It does not do what it needs to do.
A Disaster 1/5
This “upgrade” is terrible. We loved the old version. Gave us all the information we needed in a nice format. And easy to share with friends.
The new version is too complicated, too hard to use, and too hard to share with friends. And is missing some interesting information (like the time of the highest wind gust).
To Davis management. You have been totally bamboozled by your technical team. My advice: fire them all, start over.
No high wind speed time...no sharing ability, AWFUL!!! 1/5
Once again, a new update, far less content, simplistic, stretched out, requires scrolling or swiping to see what was ONE screen before — much lower functionality. Impossible for our friends/neighbors to share data now, none of us can figure new app out. Worst, I’m in the middle of a blistering coastal storm with no power, on generator and this useless new app won’t display time of highest storm wind speed. It always did before - why not now?? NO way to give feedback via app, I had to go to Apple app store to complain. You need to FIX THIS or I’m ditching our weather station and finding someone else.
Add “v1.3 page” please! 1/5
This version is a real step backward to WeatherLink users that were pleased by the simplicity of the previous 1.0-1.3 version. So many folks want access to the old version, which has been disabled in favor (by who?, not *real* users!) of this version. Here’s an idea that would make everyone happy... add a “1.3” page to this new version. Folks (like me) that want the simple version can access that. And also, please enable automatic update of the data to ten minutes. Folks that want to monitor their own Davis station using the app appreciate the ability to monitor “real time” data, and going back to “on-demand” with 10 minute auto-updates (like it was with previous version) would be favorable. Thank you!
Worse than 1.0 1/5
All the glitz and glamor of the new app may be pretty, but you lost functionality. What good is a weather app that doesn’t update automatically? Also with this latest roll out, you took away key features that brought me to the app in the first place. I will not be using any of your products again until you get it right.
My teacher made me do it 5/5
My teacher told me to write a review
Not very useful 2/5
By P Slaw
I pay to be a “pro user” and this app gives you no ability to view any data from your station other than the current data. Oddly, you can scroll through historical barometric pressure & rainfall data only...but you can’t see historic temp, humidity, etc. I think all the reviews are accurate that this is pretty disappointing for a company that specializes in collecting detailed weather data. Also, my station time is set correctly, but the time the app shows for my barometric history data appears to be off +9 hours.
WeatherLink -2.0 1/5
Most software upgrades mean you go forward, not in this case, while it looks ok it has lost all of the information that weatherlink have you. It is slow to update . DAVIS please pull your head out of the clouds and get back to a great product!
Bad app takes too long to download info. Is bad
Too clean of a design 1/5
In this day of minimalist, clean app designs Davis went too far. Or did they just not try hard enough to get it right? I can’t decide. I miss the way all the historical data Was displayed in the old version. I think that data is available in this version but it’s hard to figure out. I also can’t for the life of me figure out how to change the order of the stations on the main page. The app is anything but intuitive.
Silly App 1/5
1.3 was a great simple powerful mobile app. I could monitor multiple weather station at once to see precipitation real time and make business decisions. Now 2.0 has silly raindrops on the screen and you can’t see the info that you want. Fire your mobile app designers! Bring 1.3 back!
I love the new graphics and layout, but what happened to my indoor temperature readings?!!!! 😡
WeatherLink 2 1/5
By Ticket tooker
App needs text settings like the original. Annoying graphs and such. Opening greeting needs to be disabled. Not a good idea... “let’s look at the weather” is about as intelligent as... why did we open app if not to check weather, as well as opening local weather when want different locations. Has to be a better app out there.
Bring back the format of WL 1.0 that everyone liked. WL 2.0 with flashy graphics is not what we want. I continued to use the WL 1.0 app until you disabled it.
Log in issues... 1/5
App is not excepting login on Apple appBut is currently logging in on android devices please fix current issue as we here need our weather app
Horrible replacement for their previous applications 1/5
By Rgr 68
Please reactivate the old version
The data is wrong and the app is a nuisance to use
Bring back 1.0! 1/5
As stated by other people, 2.0 is horrible! We do not need to see the pretty little clouds floating by! I just want to see weather data all on one page from all my stations without having to use a magnifying glass to read the wind direction!!!! If 2.0 what is needed for security reasons, re-design it to look just like 1.0. I bought these weather stations because I liked the layout of 1.00 then it went away. Not happy at all after I spent thousands of dollars on weather stations! Shame on you Davis!
Login? Seriously? 1/5
Everyone is now required to register and login just to view weather conditions? We use a Vantage Pro2 station at our small airport, and the WeatherLink 1.0 app was a good way to view the info quickly and easily. And without needing to supply an email address and entering a password. This isn’t Top Secret data we’re talking about here, it’s just the $&%#*! weather.
Weatherlink 2 Not Data-centric/Scientific 1/5
By Mom of 2 Girls
Version 2.0 is a big let down for me as a backyard Vantage Pro2 owner from a weather geek perspective. It lacks the chemistry of tying all of the current, daily, monthly, and annual stats together. I liked the WL 1 views of data because I could easily compare my weather station to other regional stations w/o jumping around a bunch of different screens. I doubt “regular” consumers normally buy the excellent Vantage Pro2 or some of the other nice Davis weather instruments, so why did we have to lose the ease of the prior data-centric/scientific views of our weather stations? I know Davis can do better than the consumer eye candy they offer in WL2. Sad, I hope the Davis marketing and Web/IOS teams are given new directions to better support the weather geeks who really get into backyard forecasting and data analysis of their Davis stations and others listed in the Davis network/cloud. I am hopeful we will see a course correction from Davis in the future.
