Decent app except for 1 persistent bug. 3/5
Decent app but there has been a bug that has persisted ever since I first downloaded it over a year ago. When you add a new item to a list, sometimes it disappears and only reappears after you’ve added another item (or even 2 items) to the list. It’s a persistent bug that I see almost every time I use the app. Please fix!!!!!
Signs you out for no reason 1/5
Signed in then the next day or two it just signs you out for no reason.
Know that this is going away... 5/5
Wunderlist has been my go-to organizer for years and years - really excellent work!
But I’ve noticed recent reviews complaining that there aren’t many feature updates and things are “missing”.
Folks, as great as it is, this is dead-man-walking software. Microsoft bought them a couple of years ago and the team has been hard at work on Microsoft To-Do, which will also apparently eventually replace the Tasks feature in Outlook.
I tried To-Do early on, and it was awful. But I went back a couple weeks ago and it FINALLY had near feature parity with Wunderlist!
In other words, it is soon to leave beta... And Wunderlist will be shut down (eventually).
Two things To-Do still lacks are list folders and task comments. But that’s it. Oh, and there is no Mac client yet, but the web client works well enough - just the expiring session is annoying. But an app will come...
And it even has a few nifty additional features. Like you can FINALLY copy just a task, not only entire lists. You also can put in emojis all over to give you better visual cues for what a list is for.
The main new thing is the “My Day” list, which is like a special tag you can give any task and then it will show up there, but it is also in its original place - i.e. nothing “moves”, which is great for adding focus in the My Day but not needing to reorganize your lists.
Anyway, I fully switched over to To-Do. I know those last couple of items will be there soon. If you are considering Wunderlist, that is a good thing, but sadly, like I said - it’s dead. So head over to Microsoft To-Do and see what the team has been working on lately...
Opening app 1/5
It doesn’t let me open it when I create an account
Great for taking stress out especially for those with ADHD.
Great for work and home 5/5
My department of 200 people use this for daily shared tasks. Each floor of our hospital is 110,000 square feet and specific tasks must be done 3 times a day in 30 locations. Prior to using the app people would need to walk to one central status board to see which rooms needed attention. The app makes this work much more efficient. Wunderlist functioned so well in the work environment, I started using it at home. We have separate shopping lists for Costco, Trader Joe’s and the Jewel supermarket. Any family member can add to the list. Who ever goes to that store first has an up to date list and can check off each item as it is purchased.
Freezes constantly, no support 2/5
I’ve been using this as an apple reminders replacement for a few years. It will work fine at first and syncs across products well but when you have used it for a while it will start freezing every time you open it. It makes what should be a 5 second thing to write something down take 1 min.
I have filed support multiple times, once they did reach out to me and i supplied information. I think it was fixed for two months and then the same behavior...
Helps grocery shopping! 5/5
I use this app mainly for grocery shopping. It helps you make sure you get all the things you need without having a list everywhere. Let’s admit it, you always have your phone. I add to Wunderlist whenever I think of an item I need. Then just ding them off as I pick them up in store.
Don’t kill it! 5/5
Please don’t sunset this app! It’s perfect how it is and I’ve relied on it for years. It’s so much better than Microsoft ToDo. I’m not asking for new features, just please keep supporting it!
Love the Simplicity 5/5
By Mel Fab
I’ve tried many different To Do apps over the years and this is my favorite that I’ve been using for 4-5 years now. Other apps can get more complicated with color coding, etc. which is fine if you like that. This one is simple, therefore quick to input lists, tasks and subtasks. I use it before bed sometimes to set up next day reminders which keeps me on track. Maybe some of you can relate, but as I’ve gotten older and busier in my 40s, I can’t remember everything for work and family and this app helps tremendously.
Suggestion on alphabetizing capabilities 3/5
I use this app to make lists for household purchases and groceries. In my list making process I uncheck or unmark my completed to-dos in order to bring them back into my list for the next time I’m at the store. I know the to-do list can be sorted alphabetically but it would be helpful if the “completed” list can be sorted alphabetically too, especially if the list is constant... like groceries. Just a thought.
I love everything about this app, thank you!! One thing that I think would make using this app more enjoyable would be if you could make the background a picture from your gallery. I realize this requires a little more work, but it might even be worth paying a little extra to be able to do that. Thank you for all the wonderful features aside from that too, this app has helped me organize my thoughts and actions. It has saved me much grief since I have a forgetful mind about certain things.
No thanks Microsoft 1/5
Keep trying, not there yet... 1/5
I’ve been trying to use Wunderlist for a few years and still is cumbersome for making lists. Too many clicks and layers for daily use. I really like the lists but I can’t seem a way to separate lists without being a to-do. The app is simply too much work to use.
This app is definitely NOT transparent.
does not work in iOS 9 iPad using side by side view. Can't see the whole screen or individual items.
*^**^*^*^*^*^Lost all my lists!!!!!
I began using the app for a few days, made quite a few tasks.
One day it locked me out and asked me to login. When I did, the app was empty of all my lists and info. When I login I have to close the app and restart it to use the app. Very buggy. I wouldn't trust it any longer.
Syncing with other devices is terrible 1/5
By FDA 805
I have Wunderlist installed on phone, iPad and computer and syncing is terrible. Also can’t email lists to others. It used to work. Update is needed.
Love it! 5/5
I love this app! I use it on my iphone and my mac to keep work and personal life organized, it’s intuitive to use and has everything I need!
I also like when you check something off and it dings :)
Please Fix! 5/5
Hey the long hold to organize multiple todos by to-do-date or list on the android version of this app is to die for. Please bring that feature across the board to the rest of your apps. The way organization is done in the apple versions of these apps is impossible. We need to be able to mass select and organize todos.
Good app with serious bug 3/5
Love and live by Winderlist, but now the app keeps reordering my todo lists without my asking it to.
I prioritize my todo lists by bubbling items to the top that need to be done sooner, and Winderlist keeps shuffling them without reason.
Classic Microsoft. I could not even test out the app without having to setup a Microsoft account. Since my org uses google, was not a thing I wanted to deal with.
Simple to use 3/5
Sure wish they’d make a companion app for the iWatch. Our family uses this app a lot. Some of us have ditched wallets & even phones on the weekend, living on the abbreviated functions of the iWatch with Apple Pay & full cell service. Certain members of the family keep trying to dodge out of their share of grocery shopping because they can’t access Wunderlist. I guess it’s time to see what app can fill the gap.
Best app ever! 5/5
It is so simple but yet so helpful especially when having several people in your family. Everybody can share one list and add to it with ease. We absolutely love it and has made our lives easier. These days with info overload, anything that helps our life be a little less stressful is a huge bonus!!!
Awesome best app 5/5
Love this app
Best list and to do app EVER 5/5
I use it for everything. I am a member of many groups so I have a list for each one. Then I have the regular lists like Christmas and honey do. Shopping, of course. And once entered each list shows up seamlessly on all my devices. While I always have recommendations, I don't have a one for this app. Nicely done. Been using it for years.
Best Productivity App! 5/5
This app helps me organize my day to day activities. It has an intuitive interface which makes it simple to navigate through tasks.
AWESOME APP 5/5
Love it the fact the I can create lists and folders for everything I need. Sinks with all my devices, it’s super easy to use...can’t live without it.
Worthless if you want to share lists 1/5
I really like this app but it frequently locks up and shared lists are constantly out of sync.
Easy to Navigate 5/5
By Gavel 123
I love it keeps me on track!
Easy to navigate and very user friendly.
Use it all the time 5/5
As a first time user of a to do list app, this free version meets all of my needs. I just keep a running list of to dos so I don’t forget to do them. Would definitely recommend.
Used to be great 2/5
This app worked fine for me u til today. For some reason now it’s putting tomorrow’s tasks under the “Today” menu which really confuses and irritates me. When I look at today’s menu, I want to see TODAY’S tasks! Not tomorrow’s! I really wish the developers still worked on this so this could be fixed. Wonderful app until today.
Why does the app screw up when there is a time change 1/5
This is the first review I can ever remember writing. I use Wunderlist everyday. For the most part is a simple task list that helps with categories and day to day task. I am a list maker and feel I have used all that is out there and this one is pretty good.
The frustration comes in, when there is a time change. Like this morning to DayLight Savings time. My today smart list has 10 items remaining to be done but if you look at my smart list I have 77. Because it is including tomorrows list. I know first world problem but it is a total pain in the as_____
Constant crashing 1/5
By Scottie O.
Used to be great. Now every time you try to edit the order of an item on your list, the app crashes.
I’ve contacted support multiple times only to get the canned response of force quit/ uninstall & reinstall, etc...
Great App but Buggy & Laggy 2/5
I like the service but can’t use mobile or desktop app because it’s so laggy and freezes most times I open
Bugs bugs bugs 2/5
Now all my tasks in Today view show tasks due tomorrow as well. Daylight savings time related bug perhaps?
By Reza khalafi
Please add good persian font to app like IranSans font.
Needs some improvements 4/5
I am a list person. Have been for decades. I actually have a few too many lists, but I can’t seem to stop myself.
I would like to see a way to mark all items as incomplete, as I reuse lists all the time : Think: packing lists. Shopping lists. Errand lists (different from shopping lists).
I actually use 3 different list apps now, for different things and partly because due to severe family illnesses, I haven’t had a chance to migrate all the lists into 1 app. Not sure that I want all my lists in one basket, anyway. 😉
Wish it had more 4/5
I wish their was more in the app it's basically a blank canvas
Excellent app 5/5
Helps be remember my appointments
Loved it ‘til I got locked out 3/5
By Done with twc
When I first got this app, I immediately used it for grocery and other shopping lists. Then I created a list of movies I wanted to see. Unfortunately, this week I “logged out” (I never knew I was logged in!) and have been unable to access the app using any of my email addresses, which only strengthens my suspicion that I was previously using the app sans account. Also, I was dismayed to learn that having the account active meant that my data would be used by the app and its developers to track me and my interests. I am sorry to lose the app’s functionality but I will find an alternative app that doesn’t use my data or lose my “account.”
This is the easiest and most functional ToDo List tracker out there by far 5/5
I evaluated about 5 different products and none had the combination of ease of use (like a 10 minute learning curve to be fully up-and-running) and features. I’ve seen Microsoft’s version of this but as far as I can see it loses the ability to “nest” tasks — or arrange them in folders/groups — which is a huge negative. The replication between the desktop product, iPad an iPhone is flawless.
So Easy 5/5
This app helps me to keep my busy life organized. Thank you.
Best App for TO DO list 5/5
By Romeo american
Came through so many applications. This is the one I'm looking for.
Good, tweakable 4/5
I would like to convert sub-tasks into tasks and move sub-tasks to other tasks.
Excellent App for note taking and I’ve tried them all!!! 5/5
By Servant Status
This an excellent app for note taking and reminders versus me using the notes app that comes preinstalled in the phone. You can set reminders to tasks and even arrange tasks in different tasks columns or what I like to call batch buckets; in order that you have all of your notes prearranged and organized for less stress. I give this app five stars because it is awesome but I will say that I have just installed this back in February of 2019 and after watching some YouTube videos I have discovered that Microsoft has bought this program and has a notetaking app very similar to this so I am not sure if this will be discontinued or what. I just want to give people a heads up if they begin using this app and do not want to possibly lose their notes. Microsoft’s app similar to this one is called Microsoft To Do. Overall great app hope it doesn’t go away since it’s been in the game for a long while.
Family share friendly 5/5
Great to do list that is family share friendly. Hubby or kids add to grocery list and I always have it when I get to the store.
I can see the different to do lists for different areas (our house vs in-laws...) and add to to it when they mention the task to me for him to do
Gift wish list for everyone in the family... I simply take the recipient of the list close to the holiday so they don’t see what they are getting. No more getting duplicates
My husband and I share the lists so it’s more convenient when one of us is running to the grocery etc. it would be great if you could make one improvement... make deleting items a step process. For instance when I grab an item in the grocery store I can check it off. Then when I have all of my items I can finally delete them. Sometimes when the app is open I accidentally delete an item and don’t realize it.
An option for the second step would her great!!
Don’t leave home without it! 5/5
By far the best to-do list anyone can ask. Easy to use, multi-user for shared lists, great for shopping, family lists (movies, songs). Awesome for planning trips, consolidate references, links, and so much more.
Picking dates is pain 2/5
By Adib K
The date picker is one of those Vegas slots style scroll wheels that don't let you see if a date is a weekend vs weekday. A regular calenders control like they used on the web provides the best context for picking a date. Terrible experience on mobile. Dates need context like beginning of a week vs EoW? Etc. Switched to Todoist just for that. Also the natural language date detection isn't constant across all the different input fields for a task title. This app was close but dates is just too important to keep using.
Must have 5/5
Excellent connection with spouses and partners! “I forgot to tell you to pick up the eggs!” ... etc.
