I always reserve using the Wyndham app even when looking up routes on my computer. It is easy to see search parameters, pay, see booking, and rewards level. When booking be sure to watch how many miles the hotel is from your search destination, otherwise you may find yourself in the next city over.

I’ve used this app to reserve rooms on several occasions using points only and so far have been pleased each time.
The app is useless 1/5
Called customer service because I cannot bring anything up on my reservation except a confirmation number. Customer service was unable to help and knew nothing of the internal error I keep receiving. It appears by the reviews that this is NOT a new issue. I printed an email with the info but that’s useless if you’re on the road.

Such a confusing app! I was a VERY LOYAL La Quinta member for almost 10 years. The app was easy to use, had clear and concise info, etc. THIS nightmare of an app is so convoluted I spend forever trying to get to the hotel I want. I loved knowing that at LaQuinta, my pet was always welcome and there was never an additional charge. With Wyndham in charge, I’m afraid I will have to take my business to the Choice Hotels app!!!
Used the app to book myself into an absolutely disgraceful Toledo Days Inn and didn’t even get credit for the stay

Currently if you need to change destinations, it brings you back to the beginning. It removes dates, amenities, hotel preference, etc. so you have to enter everything again. Change the app so you can update your destination without starting over.

Always up for improvements but the Wyndham app that replaced the LaQuinta app really isn’t one. Very basic functions but klunky if you’re looking at multiple properties or locations. I like the search by amenities and hotel brand a lot. It would be great if you could save your preferences, such as traveling with pets, which we do A LOT. Also if pet fees were listed somewhere with property information, it would be extremely useful.

Y’all say rooms start at 7500 points. I have yet to find a hotel for that. Every time I have used my points. I have had to use 15000 . Why do y’all advertise this but it is not available

This app should do more for their loyal customers. I mean like offer more discounts and such like the other well know Hotel apps! I mean dang every other minute I get emails from other sites saying “Book now and safe 45% off or more” COME ON WYNDHAM GET WITH THE PROGRAM!!!

I’ve booked twice and the app seems to work well. I did need to use a second app trying to figure out how far the hotel was from the Route I was traveling. Your reservations staff has no idea what hotels are located near Historic Route 66

I was, emphasis on was, a gold member of LQ rewards. I had about 15000 points built up then they went with WR, now I can’t even get in the site! Not impressed

This app is nowhere near as nice as the La Quinta app was. Started staying at La Quinta for business to get rewards points because when I travel for personal use I have my dogs and now find that all locations are not as dog friendly. I can no longer track if I’m getting the correct points for my stays like I could as the new one is so that it just gives me an overall total and not a per transaction total. And with La Quinta I could check in through the app which I no longer can do. Hope Things improve or I will stop using Wyndham hotels.

Deeply saddened to see there is no ability to store your member rewards number in your Apple Wallet, like all other travel apps offer.

I stayed in a hotel in California. I paid in advance to earn extra points, and it's been two months and still my score is 0 points. I already sent an e-mail, I've posted several times and nobody solves it.
This app is convenient and basically gives a generalization of what is available through Wyndham and its affiliates. I’m a long time La Quinta user and had a stockpile of points that I haven’t used for years. Unfortunately the LQ app is no longer available but this app came thru in the clutch. I still have all my points, which are fully redeemable. Thank Wyndham!
Love rewards not a fan of the App 1/5
I love the rewards program and I stayed at Wyndham hotels before I was enrolled. That being said, the App is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! consistently it can’t complete the reservation ever since they added LaQuinta to the program. It’s becoming a big inconvenience since I stay in a hotel about once per week.

This is probably one of the worst apps. Terrible UI, shaky scrolling. I have about 8 other hotel apps and I travel a lot. So I can say this is one of the worst hotel apps. No thought behind their design and usage. This seems like an app they threw together. Last time using this app and probably this hotel chain.

Horrible customer service. Made a reservation using the app at a Microtel in San Antonio. When I showed up for reservation was given a different price then was stated on the app. I was also asked to make a 100 dollar deposit which was not stated on the app when I made a reservation. I called to make a complaint but they told me that it is up to the hotel to basically charge what they want and has nothing to do with them. Now they told me since I am not staying there that I am still getting charged for the night.

We started using La Quinta when I joined the military- made PCSing a dream with the kids and dog. Last night was our first stay with Wyndham Resorts La Quinta and first time using the app. Total garbage. Not only did the app give me the wrong estimated mileage to the hotel (app said seven miles, GPS said 25) but upon arriving at the hotel suddenly they didn’t have the room we booked through the app (two double beds for two adults and two children) so the front desk put us in a room with a king and told us she would bring a roll away bed. After about an hour and putting the kids into the king bed (it was after midnight at this point), we get a knock on the door to be told they only have roll away cribs. My five and three year old were NOT going to fit in that crib. So ended up trying to all sleep in the king size but my husband and I eventually took to the floor. We have never had an issue before with any La Quinta but last night was the absolute worst. And for over $150 to not be comfortable- that’s insane. We will be trying to get our money back.

I tried to sign in to my Wyndham account and it said wrong password so I changed my password still nothing now saying user name wrong then account locked.. I call the number guy says I send you link I guarantee this will fix it nope no fix! I called again girl sends link nope not fixed still cannot get in site true I cannot understand half the people and they have no clue how to fix issues

I have used the app for 3 bookings this year and it went smoothly each time. There’s plenty of information and reviews to assist you. Cancellations and changes are also done with ease. This is the most cost effective way to use Wyndham reward points.
La Quinta was WAY better 1/5
Sorry la Quinta sold to this group. Their customer service was amazing and the app was terrific. Wyndham is awful. Now that Wyndham is letting each hotel set the dog policy, and charge, it’s a nightmare to figure out if pet rooms are available and the cost. Customer service is a joke. I called to make a reservation and the gal put an old number on the reservation so it never showed up in the app. And she never added the dog. After multiple emails and calls, finally one said the gal put a closed account number on my reservation, but could they switch it to my actual number? NO! How can a customer service place not be able to add a customers account number on a reservation. Plus after every single call, they tried to upsell me on a bunch of things. So annoying! I’ve had to call each hotel on our driving trip individually to find out their dog policy and the charge. We were very loyal la Quinta members but no longer feel the same with Wyndham. We’re going to use up our points and go with a chain that actually has some customer service. If we’re paying extra to take our dog with us, would rather go with a group that appreciates its customers. We miss you La Quinta!

I am a traveling ER nurse, and I have found no other app or rewards program that is as, well....rewarding. It is intuitive, easy, skips the fluff, and actually saves me money. It takes seconds to book a room at a great rate.

Good - But Could Be Better 4/5
The app is easy to use once it’s set up. I’d love it if I could open specials I receive by eMail thru the app rather than having to go thru the website. Also, I’m generally traveling with a pet, so it’d be helpful to let the hotel I’m booking know I’ll be arriving with a pet and what the pet fee is. I’ve often been unhappily surprised because I was charged $15/night for my pet at nominal hotels. Knowing in advance would give me the option to search for a better option.
