Is not compatible with IPhone, crashes immediately, making this app inconvenient and nearly useless for management and FOH staff. Most 5 star reviews are definitely plants, dropping buzzwords and describing basic features in a wildly positive and vague manner. NoWait was solid, Yelp Waitlist is trash.
I haven’t been able to open the iPhone version of this since the new update. Everytime it crashes. Please fix it!

App no longer functions following the update! We are trying to run a business and Yelp is jeopardizing this. Did they even test the functionality prior to this update release? If I ran my restaurant like this, I’d be out of business.

Have been a faithful customer for almost 5 years. $50-60/month. Had some glitch issues and downtime but overall, it worked well enough for our pub for the price. When Yelp bought them, I knew we were in for it. This week, they revealed to all of us that it would now be $300 a month to justify the new features and stability. When I called to talk, I was patronized and brushed off. They told me I would lose customers; that Yelp/NoWait was the reason I had customers. I canceled. You aren’t going to squeeze this much money out of small businesses. Enjoy your app, but I hope a lot of accounts cancel because this price hike is outrageous. Shame on the bully that is Yelp.

I’ve had this app for about 4 years. It’s a little glitchy but did the job and for $59 a month it was worth the few problems. Then yelp bought it, it became more glitchy and they raised the price to $299 a month because they have “new special features” that are not really needed or special. I’ve canceled and gone to Cake Guest Manager which has been working great so far for much less money.

I’ve used the “free version” of this app for over 5 years. Suddenly I get a sales call from Yelp stating that my access will be cut off because I should have been invoices for quite some time. I explained that I signed up for a free version and don’t use any other features. That said $249 a month and are giving me 5 days to relocate my reservations to another program. Gee thanks..... I knew I hated Yelp for a reason!

The app WAS very restaurant friendly but yelp bought it and insisted they know what’s better. They removed all abilities, for the restaurant (their customer), to customize it for their own needs. Stating we (yelp) know what’s best for your business.

Total Bait and Switch 1/5
Don’t bother downloading this app unless you plan to dish out $250/month (Yes, PER MONTH) to use it. It’s a nice product, but as soon as the sales people realized you’re not going to pay their monthly fee, they cut off access to the APP and Account. No trial, no limited use FREE versions ... Pay or get booted. They should disclose that this is only usable IF you set up a commercial account with them and if you can afford it.
Great app thus far, but would like to see an incorporated reservations system to go along with the wait list. We take a small amount of reservations per night, usually 3-12 and only for large parties. So it would help to have integrated reservation and table management so that the reservations block off their assigned tables at a certain time

No Wait is a tremendous asset to our business. Can't imagine going back to the old days of pencil and paper. Has allowed us to offer reservations, which has been a big hit with customers.

This app is well built and simple to use. However we do not use sections at our restaurant and the app only allows you to assign servers to sections not individual tables. This would be useful to me, if updated my 4 stars would definitely be 5 stars
iPhone version should have more capability 2/5
The app works well on the iPad, but on the iPhone there should be an option to see the store layout, even though it would be small. Also, server sections are only color coded. You can't see the server names and who is which color. Basically useless.

I just have a quick question. Whenever I've called customer support, I've always had a great experience. When the app users post a review, how come we don't get any responses regarding any troubles we're having with the app/new versions, and what, if any, actions are being done, or will be done to improve the issues?

An awesome tool for restaurants who want to run their host stand easily and give their guests a better experience at the same time. Can't imagine why anyone would use pen and paper when this is out there. Very cool

Beware the new update on 12/11/15! It does not really add any usability improvements or new features, in fact it makes this great app HARDER TO USE. The wait list is harder to read and the awesome quick icons are nearly impossible to see now.
It seems to us that they really were too focused on making the app look nice and streamlined but they went too far and it has had a negative effect on usability which has led to mistakes at our host stand already!
Of course if they fix these major issues it is a 4 or 5 star app and we have been pleased so far, but in this new state we are concerned for the future of NoWait!

They gonna Keep calling and texting you to get your attention. I just sign up for this because I thought It's going to be useful tools that I can use for my new job as a host. I work in the small restaurant so we didn't have the computer system for the host. OMG they called my restaurant to ask where I was and my manager was super mad because I didn't told them that I sign up for this program (this apps). I didn't think that they would call my restaurant to reach me. PLEASE be careful about putting the restaurants i formation or your own information because they might going to use it somewhere else... I really really really can't trust this apps!!!! Be careful if your going to use this

I downloaded this app to see if it would help our restaurant on the weekends. After an hour or so of playing with it, I determined it would be more trouble than it's worth, and deleted the app. The next day, a Friday, a get a call in the middle of my shift from a Pennsylvania number. It was NoWait wanting to talk to me and offer support and advice. I politely explained that I didn't think the app would be useful to our particular restaurant and that I had already deleted the app from my device, but I appreciated the call. The representative insisted we schedule an appointment for Monday to call me and explain the app. Again, I declined and thanked them for calling, the representative let out a frustrated sigh, gave a short "goodbye", and hung up. It is Monday, and even after declining the phone appointment, the same Pennsylvania number is calling me AGAIN. I ignored the call and blocked the number. No means no, NoWait.

Used app to check a restaurant, and it correctly said "now serving". While seated and eating, I noticed a hostess taking peoples names to be in line. For fun, I clicked the app icon on home screen, and the message still said " now serving." I asked the hostess. To get the correct information about wait time, she had to actually close the app, then reopen it using the app icon. App should refresh itself automatically every time the restaurant wait time changes.

System problem I creat my floor maps and they were working properly until I decide to add a new room, the system delet my previous map and now I'm not even able to creat a new map.
Don't wast your time with this app is unstable.

When we first downloaded app it worked just fine to get us in line for a busy local restaurant. The second time we tried to use it though the app wouldn't even bring up any local restaurants. We called the restaurant we wanted to go to and they said app had been not working for several weeks. I'm not sure if it's just our area but this application is completely useless right now. I think it's a good idea but just needs to be run by better people.

Sensational App For Any Restaurant Owner 5/5
This app is a tremendous upgrade on everything open table does and not even close to a quarter of the cost. If you want an easy to use interface with fantastic, intuitive options for your restaurant this is the perfect. Additionally, the customer service is fantastic. In this day and age with customer service dwindling to live chats online or through the app. The people at NoWait are always accessible.

Needs better app friendly 3/5
I'm a host and lunch rush is a pain. For years we just used a paper map and colored in sections with the server name on it. It gets hard when to decide which server is next to be sat. This app is a good idea but needs a few more things.
1) Be more app friendly. During lunch rushes, were in a hurry to get the guest in. Make buttons more easier to click and to navigate.
2) Different Shifts. Different parts of the day we have different amount of servers which requires more sections in our 40 seat restaurant. I see this app lets me select tables for each section, but I don't have time to select/change the tables for each section. Example, slow time has two servers so 2 sections. Rush time is 7 servers. So sections change.
3)Seating chart reminder. I wish it told which section is next to be sat. Another thing is multiple devices. How do I know when a table is dirty or of the guest left? If somehow the busser can select to open a table up for me. Other than that. Great idea.

I used this app for our Restaurant and this saved our lives on the first Friday of the month, which is a huge festival held on Lakewood ranch Main Street where over 4000 people attend and our Resturant gets over whelmed. This app got us organized in a short period of time and let us run the night efficiently and effectively.

Best thing we ever bought for our seating management. And it keeps getting better.
I prefer the older version. We use multiply devices at my restaurant and no longer do the work together. For example, I walk around with an iPod to assign tables to parties but those numbers won't show on the iPad the host are using so the whole process is irrelavent. It seems to freeze a lot more. Also with the new app so customers can add there name to the list, it labels them as Remote and you can't even see the customers name.....very inconvenient
