Good way to learn instruments
No app cares less about its users 1/5
I’ve used this app for almost a year, paying an annual subscription for the highest level of functionality. It could be amazing. But the general pattern has been to remove functionality again and again, in particular the ability to create and practice your own songs, with no communication at all to the end user. I spent many hours laboriously keying in songs I wanted to practice into Yousician. I even bought a special program (guitar pro) just in order to get my songs on the Yousician platform so I could practice them. Then one day, poof — Yousician deleted every single one of my songs. No explanation offered. I emailed to ask whether my songs would ever come back. No response. From an app I’m paying over $100 a year to use. It’s hard to explain how it feels to have songs you have spent dozens of hours practicing just deleted one day, with no comment. All the stats, and the metrics you were using to progress—gone. The level of disregard Yousician has for its users is truly shocking. It’s not hard to keep an open line of communication with your users, but Yousician doesn’t bother.
Quickly Learn Guitar 5/5
By Ekul Marba -Sick Musician
The Yousician app is really simple and easy to use and navigate. It has a very nice practice program to allow you to learn an instrument very quickly and thoroughly. The app also includes helpful videos to explain the theory of the music. I would recommend this app to everyone from someone that doesn’t know a lot about music at all to an accomplished musician. Yousician Works!
Em chord 3/5
The Em chord does not usually pick up on the microphone with headphones or without. I play electric guitar and this is very frustrating when I need to play the Em chord to pass a level.
It’s very good
Awesome for beginners! 5/5
By Vaylnn Swenson
I’ve been wanting to play the guitar for years. I finally got a guitar for Christmas along with a fee beginners books. The books were okay. I’m more of a visual learner. Once I heard of Yousician, I downloaded and it was awesome! It helps you tune, learn notes and keys. A lot cheaper than going to get lessons from someone else. So far, I’m very impressed. Love it!

It’s a great app but you can’t get anything done without paying for the subscription, and it doesn’t have a monthly payment option so you have to pay it for the year.
Really good😄 5/5

I really like this app because it’s Doesn’t necessarily just throw you into a random lesson like other music apps it really takes things slow until you get better😁
Helps with learning basic skills on guitar
Making learning guitar a lot of fun 5/5
By Archie Teuthis
I’m still early in the training but I’m having a really great time with it so far. I’ve rarely been this committed to learning something so habitually and the app is really designed to keep you going and excited about learning a new instrument.
Watch out! 1/5
You sign up for the free trial, have to enter payment info, but won’t cancel as it states you can after the 14 days. Then you’re on the hook for a whole year.
Great app to learn guitar 5/5
A little more than a week in and I’m really liking it. Only thing I’d like to see is warm up exercises at the start of each session.
So good! 5/5
More fun, less pressure, and way less money than lessons! Only one week in and I’ve surpassed what I was taught in 2 months of lessons. It’s like playing guitar hero -can’t wait to see how much I improve!

Music has never been so fun, but let’s make more than one lesson a day free, that is very frustrating😡
It’s okay 3/5
It’s a great app and normally works great but I logged in today ready to play and it says that I now have to buy a premium version in order to play anything
Wish you could do more without premium
Definitely worth it 5/5
If you are serious about learning to play and instrument such as the guitar you or the piano, this app will definitely help. They have videos that will break some things down for you but the best thing are the songs that you can play along with and it slowly teaches on the guitar to get comfortable with each new lesson such as moving from one string to the next effectively and also using your pinky. The notes are color coded to let you know which finger goes on which fret. If you’re not a beginner, there are higher levels of lessons for you as well. This is an app that will ask you for a monthly investment though so be aware of that. This app is worth the money in my opinion though.
Great App 5/5
Premium is well worth the money considering the cost of face-to-face instruction and I’m learning so much! LOVE THIS APP!
It’s really great
For those who aren’t ready for/can’t afford lessons 5/5
Such a great app to get me playing.
I have a good feeling about it
EVERYTHING IS PREMIUM
This app is amazing but too bad a lot of the lessons cost money because you got to buy the premium.
Tons of useful tips and guitar hacks to help you get to strumming in no time
Was skeptical, but only on my third or fourth night I’ve learned a lot and I’m loving it!
Ive learned 5/5
Breaking my strings 1/5
The tuner on the app in terrible. It kept on saying my string were to low and kept saying that until they broke
I have enjoyed this app it has helped me improve and advance in playing the bass
Really good 5/5
I’m really enjoying this best guitar app I’ve found so far
Time ruins everything 1/5
By Lego man1999
I had gotten this app a year ago and it was amazing I had not a single complaint(other than the price). But then a few updates later it got rid of all the good songs that I like to play(most were user submitted). Now all that you can play is songs that no ones ever heard of. Very disappointed
This is best app
I love this app there are so many lessons it is so helpful
My review of Yousician 5/5
Amazing App!!! 5/5
I love this format! It is customized and fun. I’m learning so much.
Be careful 1/5
This app may be really good - Yet if you’re looking to cancel your subscription prepare for them to keep taking from you monthly regardless of whether you’re subscribed or not.
Waste of time 1/5
When I first got the app, I was very excited so I log in and do the stuff then, when I try do ANYTHING it’s all premium stuff. I’m a young adult I can not pay 20 dollars a month for a guitar app!! This is ridiculous.
I used to Love it but..., 2/5
2 years ago I got this app because I had just bought a guitar. At the time of me getting the guitar this app used to be really cool. It allowed me to play all of the songs free but in a time limit. Recently, I’ve noticed something odd though. Even though it says I get an entire session for 10 minutes for free I have only been able to play for 2 minutes. Also they changed it from all the songs being free just having to watch an add before it to all of the songs that you want to learn being only for premium. The sad thing is I used to love this app but after this I might just delete it. Still love there tuning app though.
Best app to learn 5/5
Best and fast way to learn! I’m so happy with this app.
I give it five stars
Guitar Hero in real life 4/5
People there IS a monthly option, that is what they should start with/ push sales on.
If enough people are on board then new material needs to be added. Guitar hero is the game that got me to play the real thing so this is genius. Let’s help make this app take off
Premium? I already paid enough! 1/5
Bought several months ago and enjoyed following through some basic lessons. It’s okay for these simple lesson plans, however, the app now continually advertises awesome songs to play, but I need to upgrade! At the ~$100 a year I am already paying you’ve got to be kidding me. I much prefer other simple apps with crowd sources chord progressions etc.. Not worth it in my opinion.
This app is possibly the best guitar app I’ve used. The only thing you need to fix is that when you log out, you can choose a different instrument to play. Otherwise I give this app five stars. This app has really taught me how to play the guitar decently. So there’s only one thing you need to fix which is only minor
Thank you so much for this app. I learned so much from it.
Great app! 5/5
Fun, easy to use! Love that you start playing songs right away!
This app is magic 5/5
I truly did not think there was an app that could teach how to play an instrument and give the player feedback. This is that app. I’m very happy I found this app. I’ve played my first song on a bass guitar in the first lesson!
Good but not great 3/5
The videos are super laggy and I can’t even watch for 10 seconds before it starts skipping and lagging
Awesome sauce 5/5
I thought I didn’t have a musical bone in my body but I am really learning and it is fun too.
This App is trash 1/5
It do t even have the instruments that I need ;-;
I took lessons for a month 15 years ago and was so bored I never picked the guitar again. I have learned so much in the 1 week I’ve been using this app. I use the irig2 which works just ok.
