Needs more music. 3/5
By Bill Nye Your Moms Guy
This app is amazing for learning, but what happened to all the music? I used to be able to find any pop music or hip hop music but now there’s none of that. And it advertises that there’s no better way to learn then by playing your favorite songs but all the songs are made by the app creators now and there’s like maybe 3 modern pop songs, other then that there’s nothing and it gets boring.

This is nice but would be the best of the best if free. I won’t mind if it is full of ads.
Stealing my money with scummy contract 1/5
The contract for this app is a scam. Signed up for the $9.99 a month premium account. Wanted to cancel my subscription. Apparently you can’t, it’s a YEAR LONG contract that gets billed $9.99 over 12 months. They won’t cancel. So I cancel my card, and get a new one. Low and behold yousician some how finds my new card number and continues to charge me. The year long contract is connected to the one week free trial so you are automatically committing. It’s a scummy business practice to lock someone in to a year long contract when it reads like a month to month. $10 dollars a month is a lot for some of us, and treating customers so poorly is a terrible way to build reputation. In the words of Warren Buffett: “It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you’ll do things differently.” Yousican has lost a customer for life and I will never recommend this app to anyone.
The app is ok, I guess 4/5
The app is is helpful and teaches you how to play songs that you’ve probably heard before. Than there’s the bad things, I am a beginner at ukulele and sometimes I accidentally mute my strings and no matter what I do whenever I play an F cord I can’t get some of the strings unmuted, however the app doesn’t give you tips on how to unmute the strings, it just says, “Try again, you’ll get there eventually” like thanks for the support, but can I please get some tips on how to unmute? The other bad thing is constantly bringing up there 14 day free trial, I’ve already said no, please just stop popping it up. Thank you

Very very good app for learning how to play the instrument you want.
Awesome app 5/5
It actually helps tune your guitar
This app says I play things wrong when I play them right. I’ll have the note write with the right rythm and yet I can never get it correct this app is wrong and idiotic. It is just a joke and their little lessons are rigged so you can never get them all correct
CAUTION PARENTS 1/5

My young daughter downloaded this apps to try out playing the guitar. She pressed the 14 day trial, forgot to cancel, and got charged $179. It took all the money out of her bank account that she had saved for months. They don't even have an option for a monthly trial, it's just a huge chunk of money that they take out. We have sent in a request for a refund, will update when they respond.
UPDATE: They will not refund my daughters money, she is in tears. Be careful if you download this app, they constantly want you to sign up for the 14 day trial and it is not worth an accidental $179 charge.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!
We have now requested a refund through Apple, will update this review again if we are successful.
Love it 5/5
I hate this app 1/5
So I come home from school and I am not in a good mood, so I take my guitar and start to practice (relieves stress) using this app. Literally 2 min in this app and there is a minuet long add pretty much saying,”buy premium with money you don’t have or we will make your day worse with mor adds because if you skip it that means you still want premium even if you do not.” I ignore it trying to just play guitar. Not even a min later another add pops up. I just delete the app. Practice should not make you more stress than you already are, that is why I hate this app.
(I am currently learning guitar as a hobby and I am a sophomore in high school)
Just what I needed. Learning everything I wanted to know at a pace it puts me in enough to challenge myself while I’m doing it. App literally has everything

It’s amazing to have the instant feedback of what I’m doing with my voice. I feel like I’m learning so much! Thank You!
Very Fun and Useful! 5/5
I installed this app this week to learn to play the guitar! I tested out and it helped me a lot, I love the app! In the beginning I couldn’t do a single note, but Yousician helped me a lot. This app is very fun, I now use this app daily and recommend this to everyone!
Love it 5/5
Love this app. Feel more connected playing modern music.

When I need help there is no video of how to do a certain song or help
Needs a little work 4/5
By my name is ghj
I think it’s a great app for singing and playing instruments but I think they should add more instruments including drums, saxophone, clarinet, and trombone.
I hope you found my review interesting please consider these adjustments😃
Good, but loading issues 4/5
I really like this app, and have been using it for about half a year now to learn guitar. It has an amazing curriculum, but you do have to pay a kinda Hefty amount to use it for more than 10 minutes a day. The videos also don’t work very well and don’t load, but you can find those on YouTube. If you are serious about learning a instrument and willing to pay, then this is the app for you. It is definitely cheaper than a in person teacher. I like it, but you do have to pay.
Just Amazing 5/5
I love how i came here trying to skip videos and lessons like i knew about em and great to see that you can move forward withought taking the classes because i feel like even the basics were pretty amazing 💯
VERY INACCURATE 1/5

Good, but pushy. 3/5
I really like the setup, and it teaches well. The caveat is that it CONSTANTLY keeps pushing a nearly $180 1-year package at $15 a month. I’d be happy to pay 2 or 3 months at a time, but a full year is way too much, especially since I have a busy schedule and being able to learn on a daily basis is sometimes difficult.
Allow me to pay 2 or 3 months at once, and I’d give it a five star review and be very happy. For now, though, I have to put up with the annoying 15-second reminder to try premium that pops up between nearly EVERY mini song, and stick with my 10 minutes a day limit.
I have been using self learning books & mags for a long time! w/audio matching cds . Yousician is by far the quickest and easiest learning tool I’ve used!
Good but make sure you have a good instrument or it will not work
This app is grate!!! 5/5

Great App 4/5
This is a great app is you are interested in ukelele, it teaches you fingering and chords in a fun interactive way. One recommendation though can you guys please include more free sheet music, maybe even like a video to unlock music. This does not have any free music at all.
Love this app 5/5

I wanted to learn to play the piano all my life. Now I can finally sit down and learn how to play at my own pace.
It has help me so much
Awesome app 5/5
Great guitar lessons 5/5
Trying the app to learn guitar and so far no issues.
Jump right in the Uke is fine 5/5
What I like about this app is that it just goes. There is little talk and demo, it’s about playing and doing. If it’s hard you slow it down and repeat and practice. Even the easy stuff I already know is fun to go through.
I’ll pay for this gladly.
I’ve been using this app for a while, I’m not as happy with it as I was at the beginning.
Originally I like the lack of instruction and sort of the “figure it out” tact. But now that I’m farther along in the lessons, last level seven, I’d like at least a little bit a hint on certain lessons. Such as When doing the fingerpicking lessons later on they don’t give you any instruction as to what chord pattern or course structure to use there’s no instruction on what picking pattern to use. When I address this with the support I was basically told to “figure it out” which I get when you’re a beginner but when you get into more advanced things a little more help would be nice.
I hate this app so much I have a better time learning on YouTube for free then learning on Yousician for 14 dollars a month like is this actually a joke
Doesn’t pick up sound 1/5
I play electric guitar and I don’t plug it in to a amp and I play it right up against my phone and it doesn’t pick up sound. Very frustrating!!!!
I love Yousician!! 5/5
By Trailer Tincan
Absolutely amazing! I learned to play the lead guitar and my dad learned how to play the piano!
Amazing tool! 5/5
I’ve been using us for about a week now. Really a great tool for learning to be a better musician. Covers both the theory as well as the practical. Getting real time feedback through the app is awesome.
I (Was) blown away how awesome this is(update) not anymore 1/5
This app really is amazing. However they just removed a giant portion of the music that was available to play. It’s now just a handful of songs available to play. I’m assuming they got hit with the copyright hammer. I had to cancel my yearly subscription due to this. They had a good thing going, and it could be again. For as much as I have paid, you should be able to keep up with music licenses. Not just remove everything and expect me to pay $120. This app has half the features so the price should be half now. Also the preview video says you can compose your own. That is no longer true, they removed that feature along with all the user generated content.
My new daily habit 5/5
By Balding Basshead
Had this bass guitar for 20 years but I never really learned how to play it, never really followed through with any instruction, videos, or books before, but Yousician helps me stay engaged with the challenging parts of learning an instrument. It is my alternative to a video game console, and now my Carvin LB70 has become a glorified game controller. Now I’m glad I never got rid of it. I’m finally committed to learning how to play music. Anyone wanna start a band with me? I’m 40 and live in Newark NJ. Not expecting fame and fortune; happy just playing covers at a bar for burgers and drinks. Hit me up ;-)
Great app, helping me learn the basics.
Yousician is totally worth it 5/5

Makes learning guitar 10x easier!
I love Yousician 5/5
I learned to play frets and chords it incouraged me to get a score of 115750
It teaches at an efficient rate but, you don’t get to practice very long within paying.
The best music app 5/5
This is a great app for any level
