Love the app, you guys have done an amazing job. Just one thing, when playing YouTube tv ads over the CNBC commercial segments, you take over the whole screen, hiding the rolling stock tickers on the bottom. Can you please fix this? It’s an important part of the experience of watching CNBC. Thank you.
Playback errors. Dvr does not remember last view. Starts playback in area from not where previous paused. So many errors. This company offers 4k in latest update but only 5 channels have select shows in 4k and they want to charge 20.00 per month. Joke. Same cost as cable now! BTW you can’t download app to Roku. 4k for $20.00 only had 4 channels. 😂

It routinely loads a black screen on my tv. I’ve logged out of the app, logged back in, uninstalled/reinstalled, logged off internet, then back on. Half the time it’s great, but go with another streaming app if you want your ish to work all the time

I can understand English so can everyone else in the house hold except for my parents. I just wished that they can at least have Spanish commentators for sports and have a few more Spanish channels if not ima have to change tv companies if my parents can’t sit down with us and enjoy tv shows or sports

My family got really tired of the ridiculous monthly bill for our satellite TV and decided to try some of the streaming services. YouTube TV is hands down the best option and has such great features. 10/10 recommend

Worst app I’ve ever dealt with. It won’t connect to chromecast, even though I’ve called their customer support and talked to them for hours. And if you record something and then try and start it from the beginning, it’ll start it live and ruin the whole thing for you. This app is terrible and so is the customer support. Do not waste your time or money.

If you enjoy watching sports and the window of the game you are watching runs past the scheduled time slot, the ap will reset so you wont see the end of the event you are watching. Really poor engagement from a fans perspective.

I tried the 4K/surround sound unlimited streaming at home feature. According to the “about” section you should be able to stream 3 concurrent devices at the same time outside the home on top of unlimited streaming at the home as long as the unlimited devices at home are on the same wifi. Well, after testing, it doesn’t work. I called support and got the runaround. Very inconvenient regarding the usability. Until this is fixed I will keep this rating.
I have been a customer for the past 3 years, and originally signed up when the price was $39.99/month, which was an unbeatable deal. They had a great variety of channels, minimal ads/commercials etc., and included all of the Boston area sports (the only real reason I signed up for YouTube tv).
Now, I pay $69.99 a month, which they seemed to jack up the price with little to no warning, pumped every channel with regular ads/commercials, and blacked out all the Red Sox games I originally paid to watch :) :)
Will be cancelling subscription very soon, basic cable is 100% equal, if not better.
In 2019 I would have given YouTube tv 5 stars, but today I gave it one because zero stars is not an option.

Love what it has to offer, but way to many ads for paying customers. Normal youtube has about two and you’re able to skip but this service has 3-6 every ten minutes and it’s just too much. Love everything else about it though!
I get pretty much all these channels and more with philo. Then my sister has sling so we just share info and get triple what channels y’all offer.

Never had issues with YT TV. Ads were reasonable, cost was fair, stream was great. They’re getting greedy now and looking for more up charge opportunities. I’m starting to not be able to watch shows that are in 4K now. I was such a fan and I see it turning into cable, which was what sent me to YT. If they’re going to start stacking on up charges for me to watch the same shows I’ll be shopping again.
Overpriced with not nearly as many channels as it should include. This app is trash!

There was a minute ad break that couldn’t be skipped in the middle of a 20 minute show. That’s 5% of the time I’m watching that is not something I want to see, especially with the absurd price of $65 a month. Additionally, even if you own a series that you bought on YouTube, you can’t watch it on YouTube TV (even though it says purchased) unless you’re a member and pay $65 a month to watch something you already own.
It would be nice if I could get the app to even load and boot up on my phone which is a iPhone 12 Pro max. Smh love using YouTube and thought this might be a good alternative to cable and it won’t even load for me.

When YoutubeTV works, it’s ok. Not great, just ok, but then again it should be for the near-cable prices we are now paying, right? However, if you run into a glitch and need support, forget it, their customer service is literally as bad as Bethesda! YoutubeTV’s call-back phone support system has not worked for over a month, and their chat and email support is an unskilled, low-knowledge joke, with staff able to answer only the most rudimentary questions, and when they eventually escalate an issue, you never hear back…
One star is too much!

I cut the cord on cable because with 5 tv’s paying for each wireless box is expensive. Using the Firestick app’s I was paying $60 to get the channels I need. I tried YouTube tv after passing on it and to my surprise it has everything with the exception of Lifetime which since I don’t watch it that often. I am completely happy.

You guys need to fix the constant buffering every time I watch a live sports game on YouTube Tv it starts buffering and doesn’t stop. It drives me crazy please fix it or I’ll not use this app anymore
why is there 5-8 ADS playing every few minutes??

I’m new to YouTube TV, In fact I’m still in the trial period and I am really surprised how much it crashes! For example I’m watching the suns vs bucks game and it crashed 8 times in the first half alone. It continued the same crash rate during the second half of the game and by the 4th Qtr I eventually gave up trying to watch it and just went back to streaming the game. I believe the problem is (again I’m new to the service so maybe there’s something I’m missing) But you have to have your phone Connected to the app to connect it to your TV and Every single text or alert I get on my phone will send the app to crash and I’ll have to disconnect it and reload it just for another 15 minutes until it crashes again. My TV is Vizio smartcast and it has the YouTube TV app already installed but you cannot just watch it off your TV you have to have your phone connected and that is so annoying!! I don’t understand why anyone would pay $65 to have the same technical difficulties you have with live streaming for free?Is there something I’m missing here? I’m 2 days in to the trail period and about to pull the plug!!

Typically crashes every 20 min. Frustrating when watching live sports. Typically just switch shows and it comes back. Ridiculous for the money being paid. Not an internet problem but a system issue.

Support is useless, typically the only way to fix “issues” is to cancel service the. Sign up again. I love the programming but many of the technical issues suggest contacting support but they can never actually help. If support and the issues weren’t such an issue, I’d happily give 5 stars!

I know I’m outside of my home area. I know I have a limited amount of time before I’m cut off. Reminding me every 20 minutes is not going to change that fact.
No default video quality 1/5
The YouTube TV iOS App used to default to the picture quality used on the last video played just like the YouTube iOS app.
We normally play videos on all of our devices at either 360p or 480p which is more than sufficient given that 480p is standard DVD quality.
In a recent update the iOD app has stopped doing this and always defaults to Auto meaning that this month my wife has burned through 3/5th of our data allotment by herself in just 13 days of our current billing cycle!
It still works as it should on both AppleTV (Gen 4) and Roku.
Bring back the ability to control the default video settings!
