Unable to purchase through iOS app anymore 1/5
This is a rip off. I can’t watch YouTube tv anymore and I can’t purchase a subscription either.
1980’s Commercial-Free Cable TV!🤗😂 3/5
I just have to say, after reading reviews I am confused by one thing: a couple reviews so far talk about being children of the 80’s (as am I, age 41) and were so happy when cable came out because by paying for it they no longer had to watch commercials.🤔 Was I living here on earth in an alternate universe where I unfortunately had to watch commercials with EVERY SINGLE SHOW that came on television?!! Commercials, I could not even fast forward let alone skip altogether! Not to mention when Fresh Prince came on at 7:00 p.m. sharp I had to be sitting right there in front of my television or I would miss it! No playing it back at my leisure. Are these people getting their decades mixed up the 2000’s, like when TiVo and Replay TV first came out, and for the first time ever shows could be digitally recorded and Replay TV would automatically skip commercials altogether (until they got sued.) And if you missed part of a show you could rewind live tv!! This was unheard of then and seemingly so futuristic! There was none of this, “Oh, this is SO 80’s! We already had this commercial skipping stuff back in the 80’s when cable TV first came out!” Um, yeah... NO!
I just don’t get why everyone complains about commercials. Yes, we pay for the service, but we also pay for cable and satellite and they all have commercials (which are now up to as long as 6½ minutes at times.) The thing is, now with DVR’s we get to fast forward through all of them if we start the show 15+ minutes late. We can’t do that with this YouTube TV service and I think that’s why people are getting their panties in a bundle. And frankly I get it because as of today I have DISH and was going to cut the “cord” and subscribe to YouTube TV this week, but now I don’t think I want to. I know from watching my recorded DISH DVR shows on my iPhone how unnerving and annoying these repetitive commercials are that we are FORCED to watch with the fast forward disabled. And if you want to rewind a little you are automatically slammed with another commercial break just because you wanted to go back 30 seconds. It’s crap!
So that’s my take on the whole thing. As I get why there are commercials and I think it’s unbelievable how many people think there shouldn’t be any because they “pay” for this service (basically not using common sense), I just don’t want YouTube TV (I pay a family subscription for YouTube Red, or Premium) because of the way they have their commercial setup - it’s forced on us. Not today with the DVR age do we have to put up with this. If anything YouTube is taking us back to the 80’s by forcing us to actually watch the commercials. The 1980’s did not give us commercial-free viewing, McFly. (Sorry, that was rude).
So if you loved the 80’s and want to go back in time to feel the nostalgia of cable television hit the world stage in all of its glory - then get YouTube TV!
It will make you grateful for the tech-filled world we live in today when no longer are the days where we are forced to suffer through the countless repetitive and time-wasting ads of yesteryear.

The functionality of this service has been steadily declining. It’s bad enough you are forced to watch commercials but when it hangs up every commercial break it’s pretty much unwatchable. I would expect more from someone like google. I wish they would fix it.

This app is very annoying to use! If you move forwards or backwards there are adds every time that last a minimum of two minutes and it does not keep your place in a show well leaves you five minutes behind

The layout looks like some high school kids set it up. The preview screen is ridiculously large and unnecessary. The worst part is there’s no TV guide ydf would you have a tv app with no TV guide? I expected better.

20 minute episode of whatever you’re watching? Look forward to 20 minutes of not one, but now, TWO ads! 2 minutes, for EVERY 2 minutes of show!
Sometimes you get the exact same ad 3 times in a row, then, the second ad, 5 times in a row!

I have found the user friendliness of YouTube TV to be horrible. I have been unable to remove payment options or confirm cancellation of my YouTube TV account. I have tried on multiple occasions to deal with this and each time has been extremely difficult. I have not been able to contact YOuTube tv either. Extremely disappointed. I don’t know how this is a valid service that people are using when the user interface does not appear to be intuitive/functioning at all.

I love the app but using the Siri remote with YouTube tv is horrible as I could never fast forward or rewind to the place I want. Why YouTube app works fine with on Apple TV? Or any other app? YouTube tv developer need to work on this.
Also, it lacks integration with Siri and does not have support as tv provider. Fubo is a better option!

The only real use for YouTubeTV is sports, but they don’t even have local teams, which means there isn’t really anything you can’t get somewhere else.
So, if they’re gonna make IOS users jump through hoops to pay it’s not worth using. Later YouTubeTV.
Any platform that lets me delete fake news CNN and MSNBC should be rewarded.
Playback to TV is terrible. Screen freezes and audio is “choppy?” Digitized like it’s trying to play in slow motion. I’ve tried changing stream quality, disconnecting and reconnecting. It works great on iPad and phone. It just won’t stream correctly to TV. Netflix Hulu and all others are fine. I can’t pay for this yet, until there is a fix.

I love this as a streaming service: fast, reliable content. What bugs me is I can’t multitask on my phone while playing my movie’s audio in the background. With Netflix, I can have audio in the background while my screen is turned off. This comes in handy when I’m working out or driving.
I also could not find a place to download content that is already saved to my library. This would help me save data on my phone plan. Overall, this is a really good streaming service, but I’m not impressed with the mobile app features, or lack there of.

I’m using YouTube TV after cutting the cord. Sadly, the iOS version lacks picture-in-picture capability. Let’s hope the dev team at YT TV brings this soon!

I haven’t had anything since they cut the cable tv under the local bridge 10 or 15 years ago. They never replaced the cable tv line again (we live outside of the city) We didn’t want to pay the extreme price of the satellite companies so we stayed on the analog TV antenna. So when they killed the regular old fashioned antenna we tried the new antenna lol we live to far from the city. So we went to Hulu and Netflix and used our phones and computers for finding our
local news. Finally YouTube TV exists with a decent price and great service and access on whatever you want to watch it on. No I am not going to get paid for this.

I can not remove this trial membership and they keep trying to Bill my account! I have attempted to resolve the issue doing exactly what they say to do...For example, ending the trial from a pc and not smartphone, and still no success! Very deceptive billing practice to say the least! Do not!!!! Do not!!! Install this service unless you are prepared to deal with a migraine headache!
Disable Autoplay 4/5
Currently there is no option to disable autoplay once an episode on a show is finished playing. The “next episode” is loading to play unless you click your remote or tap your smartphone/tablet to stop it from playing and that episode may or may not be in order or it might be an entirely different show. Currently in settings there is only an option to disable autoplay on start. 5 stars if given an option to disable autoplay on shows.

I loved the idea until the cut fox sports regional and nbc regional networks without telling their customers. It unprofessional to run a company and mislead their customers.

Watching newer stuff, you can almost guarantee it will play ads, and then get stuck in a never-ending LOADING mode. If you watch an old show on demand without ads, no problem. When you report a problem, apparently it gets stuck too.

As a reliable service for watching tv on the go I cannot recommend this. At least with cable I didn’t have to wait for my commercials to load. I have constant connectivity issues, I understand that it may be my provider. However with daily issues occurring while using the App I cannot honestly say this is worth your money.

I watch this a lot on my iPad. It would be perfect if y’all could add picture-n-picture feature to the app. That way whatever I’m watching keeps playing in a smaller box to the the side of I need to multitask.

When I go back to the channel guide while watching something, it always goes back to the top of my channel list. Why doesn’t it start with the channel I’m on? It’s impossible to channel surf.

I use this app flawlessly across multiple Roku devices, ipads(4),iPhones. Works great with no issues streaming from A T&T internet.Unlimited dvr we never miss any of our shows. My lone suggestions for improvement 1. Offer HBO as an add on 2. Fix the auto run last app on the Samsung tv and offer it on Roku tv as well. 3. Combine with You tube premium and please offer YouTube movie channel pay per view on YouTube TV it only,Alex perfect sense, why do I have to purchase movies and watch in YouTube separately......

I only gave it four stars because I have three issues with it. #1 when watching a series, it doesn’t show that you’ve already seen that episode. #2 it could uses a few more channels to add, such as wgn Americ, tv land a few other basic cable channels. . #3 IMHO this app should be combined with YouTube red which I already have. When these get added I will give it the full 5 stars.
Who’s the genius behind UI of this app? 3/5
The service is great with a good mix of content. However the same can’t be said of the iOS and the Roku app.
Frankly, I’m shocked that a company like Google with all its engineering talent would actually see it fit to ship this app with its horrible UI.
Please fix and I’ll gladly give a 5 star rating.

It’s Great and everything I just wish you added little women of Atlanta and the tv show bring it on here. But when it comes to the ads you need to include skip add button. Nobody wanna watch 11 or 12 ads it’s aggravating
